How Barbara overcame her dizziness and vertigo

Vertigo and dizziness were preventing Barbara from enjoying life.

The dizziness struck Barbara suddenly and violently a few years back. While teaching in her classroom, she became unsteady and dizzy. All of the signs suggested that she was having a stroke, but she didn’t. It was a severe and acute neurological shut down, and it was terrible.

As soon as she could handle it, Barbara started vestibular therapy to try and regain some function. Over the course of a few months, she had made steady gains. She was determined to end her dizziness.

Because Barbara continued to feel dizzy and unsteady, she pursued and persisted until she found the right approach. There are not many options near her home on Maryland’s eastern shore, so she had to travel quite a distance to find help. After visiting our office months ago and having a positive experience, she decided that she was going to come to PA and stay as long as it took until she was better.

It was a bold move, but she did it. And after 2 weeks of intensive treatment and effort, she got her wish.

It was remarkable to see how much she changed in such a short amount of time. In under 14 days, she went from dizzy and unsteady, to grounded, steady and uplifted. She was able to resume her favorite activities, exercise without dizziness and begin living the life she deserves.
